Ramsey Noah takes Nollywood to Rwanda

Nollywood actor, Ramsey Noah, is bid to storm the Republic of Rwanda any moment from now where he is expected to produce a film that will help to boost the image of that country.

Habineza said, the film, which will be a romantic comedy is aimed at promoting Rwanda’s tourism and investment sectors in Africa. To be sponsored by that country’s government as well as the private sector, the film will feature both Nollywood stars and Rwandan actors alike.
Disclosing that Rwandans love to watch Nigerian movies, Habineza said, the country is out to encourage filmmakers from across Africa to come and make films in Rwanda because of its beautiful landscape, saying the project will kicked off this month.
“The movie is about a love story between a Nigerian businessman and a Rwandan woman. It is Ramsey’s movie and he was inspired to make it when he visited Rwanda for Kwita Izina ceremony,”
“We’re conducting online pre-selections and the shooting should start in January next year. This film will promote Rwanda as a tourism and investment destination,” said Habineza. The movie is estimated to cost a whopping US$1.5 million.
Habineza said several corporate organisations have expressed interest to bank-roll the movie.
