German ex-president Weizsaecker dies at 94

Germany’s former president Richard von Weizsaecker has died at the age of 94. Weizsaecker challenged the country’s attitudes about the Holocaust by arguing that the country had been liberated by the Nazi defeat in 1945. Boy attacked by dogs got infections at LASUTH –Indian hospital

Available information has shown that four-year-old Abraham Omonigho, who was attacked by two German shepherd dogs in Igando area of Lagos State, in September 2014, was infected while at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja.
This was said by the medical personnel at the Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad, an Indian medical facility in Telegana State, where Omonigho was flown to late November, 2014, after his father, Odia, took him out of LASUTH. Continue..

Man jumps off Third Mainland Bridge, drowns

A man, identified as Okechukwu Ezeigbo, has drowned in the Lagoon after taking a dive from the top of the Third Mainland Bridge on Thursday.
The Imo State indigene was said to be among several passengers in a commercial bus heading towards Obalende, on the Lagos Island area of Lagos State, when the incident happened.
The victim suddenly asked the driver of the bus to stop and before anyone could realise what was going on, he hurriedly put off his shoes and took a dive into the Lagoon. Continue..

Egypt military targeted in deadly Sinai attacks

At least 26 people, mostly soldiers, have been killed in a series of attacks by Islamist militants in the north of Egypt's Sinai peninsula.
A car bomb and rockets hit several military targets in the North Sinai provincial capital of El-Arish.
Other attacks took place in the town of Sheik Zuwayid and in Rafah, near Gaza.

The Edo State governor, Adams Oshiomhole, on Wednesday said that Nigerians had yet to enjoy meaningful socio-economic development because of the oppression of the Peoples Democratic Party.

Fire ravages two-storey building in Aguda

 Fire broke out this morning at about 3.22am in the Aguda, Surulere area of Lagos. The fire ravaged a two-storey building, and destroyed properties worth millions of Naira.

Yasmin Eleby from Houston, Texas promised herself when she was much younger that if she hit 40 and wasn't married, she would marry herself. And so when she hit 40 recently and wasn't married and didn't even have a man, she kept that promise to herself. Yasmin threw herself a full wedding, complete with a candlelit ceremony.

She had her mum walk her down the aisle, and had her sister who is a minster, help her say vows, in a spiritual ceremony - because you can't legally marry yourself in America.
