Fela Anikulapo Kuti’s first grandchild, Rolari set to wed

The first grandchild of the creator of Afrobeat music, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, aka Abami Eda, Rolari Segun, is set to quit the singles’ club.
Rolari, who is a product of the marriage between Fela’s first daughter, Yeni Kuti and the late Femi Segun, son of famous writer, Mabel Segun, will be getting married to an Australian author, Benedict Jacka come June 27, 2015, at the New Afrikan Shrine, Agidingbi, Ikeja, Lagos. Continue..

Rolari graduated from the University of Leeds, United Kingdom, in 2010, while Benedict is a graduate of Philosophy from Cambridge University and has written a couple of books among which are the Alex Verus’ series including Fated, Cursed, Taken, Chosen and Hidden. He grew up in London where he has worked as a teacher, bouncer and a civil servant.
It would be recalled that Yeni regularly claimed on popular morning TV show, “Your View on TVC” that Rolari is a virgin, which got many mouths agape that in this age, a girl as pretty as Rolari could remain ‘untouched’ for so long. Benedict came to Nigeria with Rolari last December, to meet the Segun and Kuti families, and he was properly introduced to both families.
According to sources close to the family, the ceremony at the shrine is strictly by invitation while the white nuptials will hold in the United Kingom later in August.
