Imo candidate dies as APGA sumbits name to INEC

The All Progressive Grand Alliance Senatorial candidate for Orlu Senatorial District of Imo State, Ms. EudoraIgwe, is dead.
She died the day her name was submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission as APGA senatorial candidate for the Orlu zone.
A statement on Tuesday in Abuja by the National Chairman of APGA, Chief Victor Umeh, which confirmed the incident, said Igwe was until her death, a member of the Imo State House of Assembly on the platform of APGA. Continue..

According to him, her name has been sent to the Independent National Electoral Commission as the party’s Senatorial candidate for the 2015 elections.
He expressed shock at Igwe’s death, describing her as “a grassroots mobiliser, who had worked to empower the women and youths.”
Umeh added, “We have a lost a rare gem, a great mobiliser of men and women, who has impacted positively on the lives of her people. Just yesterday (Monday, December 15), we submitted her name to INEC as our candidate for the Orlu Senatorial seat in Imo State.
“We pray the Almighty God to give her perfect peace and we pray that the family he left behind be comforted by the fact that she lived a good and exemplary life worthy of emulation. APGA has lost a pillar in Imo State.
