Keshi to sign contract this week

The Nigeria Football Federation has disclosed that out-of-contract coach Stephen Keshi will sign a new contract to manage the Super Eagles this week.
Keshi’s contract expired at the end of Nigeria’s campaign at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil but he was still allowed to manage the team during the qualifiers for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.
His former assistant, Daniel Amokachi, has managed the team on an interim basis, overseeing the Eagles’ friendlies against Uganda and South Africa. Continue..

“By the grace of God, the contract of Stephen Keshi will be signed in a day or two. We have completed everything from our end and by the grace of God everything will be finalised this week,” NFF General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, told supersport.com.
“We should be thinking of more important issues right now; things that will take our football to the next level and right now we are talking about the contract of Keshi.”
Nigeria will commence their quest to reach the 2017 AFCON in Gabon with a game against Chad on the weekend of June 12-14.
The Super Eagles will also face Tanzania and Egypt in AFCON qualifying Group G and Sanusi is upbeat about the chances of Nigeria progressing from the group.
“We want to make Nigerians have faith in the Super Eagles again. We will strive to do well in the Afcon qualifiers and hopefully we will come out of our group,” he said.
