Fans boo Omeruo, Lawal sees red

Middlesbrough defender, Kenneth Omeruo, was booed by the club’s fans for giving away a penalty in their 2-0 loss to Sheffield Wednesday in the English Championship on Saturday.
The Nigeria defender was adjudged to have handled the ball in the penalty area which led to Sheffield’s first goal on 52 minutes. Continue..

The fans took to Twitter to vent their anger on Omeruo, who was substituted in the 58th minute as ‘Boro searched for a goal.
One of the fans, Harry Bond, tweeted after the match, “Type in ‘Omeruo liability’. Pretty much tells you everything you need to know.”
Another fan, Robson Leach, wrote, “Omeruo is an absolute joke.” While yet another tweeted, “We not going to make promotion courtesy of this error.”
The loss cost ‘Boro the chance to move to the top of the league as they are second with 63 points from 34 matches, two points behind leaders Derby County.
Omeruo, who is on loan from Chelsea, reportedly played his worst game for ‘Boro on Saturday to earn the wrath of many of the club’s disappointed fans.
Last season, he was impressive when he joined Middlesbrough on a half-season loan from Chelsea but he has been far from convincing since his return from the 2014 World Cup where he was also impressive for Nigeria.
Also, Eagles midfielder, Raheem Lawal, got his first red card for Eskisehirspor in the Turkish Premier League on Saturday in their 3-0 loss to Geofrey Oboabona’s Rizespor.
Lawal, who has two goals for the club, was red carded in the 18th minute of the match which had Oboabona as an unused substitute for Rizespor.
In Spain, Nigerian forward, Uche Kalu, scored his second goal for Levante in the Spanish La Liga in their 4-2 loss to Rayo Vallencano on Satuirday.
Uche scored Levante’s second goal in the 85th minute after Bueno had scored the four goals for Vallencano.
He joined the Spanish side in January from Qatari side, Al Rayyan.
