Rooney equals Henry’s record

Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has matched Thierry Henry’s all-time Premier League goals record with his strike against QPR on Sunday, Goal reports.

Rooney has now scored 175 times in the English top flight, the same as former Arsenal hero Henry.
The 28-year-old reached the landmark in 377 appearances, whereas Henry took 258.
Rooney is now joint third in the all-time scoring charts, and needs just 13 more goals to leapfrog Andy Cole into second.
But he is still 85 behind former Southampton, Blackburn and Newcastle United striker Alan Shearer, who notched 260 times in 441 appearances.
