Osaze tips Ivory Coast, demand goals from Moses

Nigeria and Stoke City striker Osaze Odemwingie has tipped Ivory Coast to win the 2015 Africa Nations Cup which started in Equatorial Guinea last Saturday.
Osaze who spoke with Stokesentinel.com also called on his Super Eagles teammate Victor Moses to score more goals for Stoke City.
The recuperating attacker, who is working as an analyst with ITV’s coverage of the competition, said he believes the Manchester Cityduo of Yaya Toure and Wilfried Bony can lead the Elephants to glory if they can be at their very best.
The Ivorians came from behind in the 1-1 draw against Guinea in Malabo on Tuesday, but Osaze believes they still have the quality to be African champions again. The West Africans won the 1992 edition held in Senegal. Continue..

He said, “Most people will say Algeria or Cote d’Ivoire. I would probably say Cote d’Ivoire if Yaya and Bony were fit enough because I think the fittest team will win it.
“I know Yaya sometimes struggles to play in the heat, and sometimes Bony, but they are the best players in the tournament.”
Osaze who is still out injured then asked Moses who is on loan to Stoke City to bang in more goals now he’s fit again and shaping up for the final four months of the season.
Moses has netted once in 13 appearances for Stoke and Osaze, running a sharp eye over proceedings from the sidelines, says that isn’t enough for a player of his ability.
“I’m delighted he’s back because he’s been instrumental in getting away points for us,” says Odemwingie.
“I just want more goals, personally. I told him that his crossing is good, but I want goals, however he does it, because he can score more.”
Odemwingie, who still hopes to feature before the end of the season after a cruciate knee ligament injury, admits to being frustrated at not being able to link up with this season’s newcomers such as Moses and Bojan.
But he is delighted to see Bojan scoring and everyone taking him to their heart.
“It is very helpful to settle in when you score, the manager speaks well about you and the players want you in every game,” he said.
“I felt that way myself and so I can relate to him for that and I hope he continues doing well.
“He is very hard working and even today he was in running by himself. He’s added a few kilos of muscle and so he’s also putting in the hours in the gym and we will all benefit from that.
“I would love to play with him, but I will have to wait a bit until it comes.”
