Chelsea midfield sensation, Cesc Fabregas has stated that he want to win the English Premier League title after 27 years wait.
The Spaniard returned to England from Barcelona in the summer and would have gone to Arsenal had the Gunners taken up the option to sign him which was agreed when he left the club in 2011. During his eight years at Arsenal, Fabregas failed to win the title, emerging into the side just after the Gunners’ last triumph. It was a failure he appeared only too ready to point out as he contemplated being crowned as a Chelsea player. Continue..
If Chelsea wins their next two away games, against Arsenal and Leicester, they will be crowned champions in the East Midlands. Fabregas assessed that prospect, but first previewed the visit to north London on Sunday.
‘It’s massive. We are level on games now, we are 10 points in front and we don’t want to give them hope to put pressure on us. We have to put in a good performance because we know the Emirates is always a difficult place to go.
‘We just want to win it,’ stressed Fabregas turning his attention to the league title. ‘The sooner, the better.
‘We want to give satisfaction to the supporters. It’s been five years for them without winning the Premier League title; for me it’s been 27 years so I’d love to win it as soon as possible
