White House Hotel boss - Nigeria should reward Adadevoh

The President of the White House Hotel, Ikeja, Mr. Austin Eruotor, has called on the government and other relevant bodies to reward the late Dr. Stella Adadevoh posthumously.
Adadevoh was the doctor that restrained the Liberian that brought Ebola to Nigeria, the late Patrick Sawyer, when she treated her in Lagos.
She contracted the disease – after she had battled hard to restrain Sawyer from leaving First Consultant Hospital, Obalende. According to Eruotor, God used Adadevoh to minimise the Ebola scare in Nigeria. Continue..

At a briefing where he spoke on activities to mark the 10th anniversary of the event and entertainment centre, he said, “We thank God Nigeria is managing the Ebola crisis well.
We also thank Adadevoh for the sacrifice she made. She really deserves to be rewarded.”
He noted that the Ebola scare affected hotel business while it raged.
He, however, added that life was returning to the hospitality sector, while White House has, according to him, taken precautionary measures.
Eruotor said the story had generally been good for the hotel.
In the past 10 years, the facility that is also called ‘Celebrity Hangout’ and ‘Power of Entertainment – has hosted programmes that featured celebrities such as P Square, Tuface, Dbanj, DZ Jeez, Tunde & Wunmi Obe and Timaya.
“White House Hotel turned 10 on October 1, 2014. You would agree with me that 10 years is not a joke in the life of any business. We started with one step, and we thank God we are taking many steps now. We started as an entertainment, event centre, which was mainly a hall. Today, we are a full hospitality business. Initially, we shared the building with a bank. After five years, we started occupying the whole building. We also have a branch in GRA, Ikeja. So, it has been 10 years of progress.”
According to him, the GRA branch is particularly profitable because of the calibre of people that patronise it.
Explaining that hoteliers bear the brunt of infrastructural challenges facing the nation, Eruotor said he looked forward to a more ambitious future.
He said, “The President (Goodluck Jonathan) talks about Nigeria being a global economy. Yes, it is. Nigeria is a big market. That is why many brands are springing up. Even foreigners are building more hotels in Nigeria – because of our population and mineral resources. But many Nigerians do not appreciate what we have. In the next five years, my vision is to build a five-star hotel.”
