Police explains rise in female suicide bombings in Nigeria

The Nigeria Police Force spokesperson Frank Mba has given an insight into the recent rise of female suicide bombers in Nigeria.

Addressing newsmen at the National Information Center yesterday, Mr Mba said Boko Haram men now use women because they raise fewer suspicions.

"If you have been following the trends of terrorism worldwide, you will understand that use of female suicide bombers is actually not totally new. It is actually a new trend in our own part of the world. The reasons why established international terrorist organizations go for female suicide bombers is clear. The major reason is that women raise fewer suspicions, particularly with security layers, and so they take advantage of the fact that women raise fewer suspicion to try to indoctrinate and recruit female suicide bombers. The suspicion even becomes much lesser if the woman in question is a minor and that explains why. In addition to that is the fact that by rules of engagement that we are cultured to, male security operatives are not allowed to frisk or search females but we are equally developing counter terrorism strategies to deal with that.” he said
He disclosed that more female police officers will now be stationed on roads and other places where stop-and-search exercises are being carried out.
"Nigerians should prepare to see more female police officers, more female bomb disposal experts, more female DSS operatives, more female soldiers actually in combat operations and carrying out stop-and-search,” he said

Ebola: Liberia suspends football

Liberia has suspended all football activities in an effort to control the spread of the deadly Ebola virus, BBCreports. There was a risk of infection because football is a contact sport, the football association said.
The number of people killed by the virus in West Africa has now reached 672, according to new UN figures.

Ebola kills up to 90 per cent of those infected, but patients have a better chance of survival if they receive early treatment.
It spreads through contact with an infected person’s bodily fluids. The outbreak was first reported in Guinea in February. It then spread to Liberia and Sierra Leone.

Lifestyles of sexually connected couples

                                                                  Funmi Akingbade
Many men will give anything for their penis to be sucked. They should tell their wives. So also, many wives want their clitoris to be actively involved and they should inform their husbands. If there is something your partner craves, try to satisfy him or her. They will be more willing then to satisfy yours.
Learn new types of touch. If you just grab your partner the same way every time you want sex, you’re going to wear out your welcome and quickly, too. Touch can be very healing and when you understand that affectionate touch can enhance closeness and trust, you’ll see more passion develop in your relationship.

Nigeria is on the verge of a break up - Bishop Oyedepo says

Speaking recently on the spate of bombings and attacks in the country, GO of the Living Faith Church aka Winners Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo said that Nigeria is on the verge of a break up.
"I hope that we are willing to find solution to it. I would be the last person in this world to believe that government has not discovered those who are behind Boko Haram. Otherwise, we don’t have any intelligence service in our country. Are they sacred cows that cannot be brought to book? Until we cut the source of their supplies and get those who are involved, we cannot stop them. But the danger is this, and I must say it here, we are at the verge of a break up. That is the truth. It’s unfortunate. The Nigerian nation is too intelligent to claim not to have discovered those who are behind this. So, I really believe it’s all in the hands of the authorities to decide whether they want to confront the issue headlong or to keep watching it until Nigeria breaks up......All that the church can do is to pray. The church is not in power, it has no political power. And when invited, we give advice, when required or called upon. You can’t call someone and say can I advise you?" - Bishop David Oyedepo...

Pellegrini hails Iheanacho

Manuel Pellegrini paid tribute to Kelechi Iheanacho after he starred in Manchester City ’s win over Sporting Kansas City on Wednesday but admitted that the Premier League champions may struggle to secure a work permit for the teenage Nigerian striker, Daily Mail reports.
Iheanacho, 17, capped an impressive appearance by scoring the last of City’s goals in a 4-1 win at Sporting Park and Pellegrini is convinced he has a bright future in the game.
City beat a host of European clubs to sign Iheanacho after he scored six goals in seven games to claim the Golden Ball at last summer’s Under-17 World Cup.
Pellegrini said, ‘Kelechi is just 17 years old and he’s a very important player for us in the future. He demonstrated today what he can do in the future. It depends on the way he takes this profession, but I think he’s a good talent.
“We’ve not decided yet (what the plan is for him) because it’s not easy. He’s just 17 and sometimes that’s the problem. We’ll see what he will do in the future. For the moment, he will stay with us and we’ll see when we return to England what will happen with him. But he’s a very important player for the future for the club.
“After the tour, we will see what happens with him. There are a lot of things to arrange to play in England but he has an important future.”
